Do you make beer?
Originally Meekster Brau was conceived on a hot summer day on Pleasure Point in Santa Cruz, back in 1984. I was sitting around with a few of the boys drinking a box of Meister Brau’s, when one of my friends said “we should be drinking Meekster Brau’s, not Meister Brau”s” so this got me thinking. My friend Rodney Hardcastle was already making home brew so I asked him if we could start a batch together, so we did. The outcome was OK, pretty bad actually. Down the street from my house was a Vacum Cleaner and Home Brew store (classic, right), well I purchased my own kit and started from scratch, this didn’t work out that well either, but I kept trying. We usually dipped into the Meekster Brau stash after 2:00am, cause we had no other choice since the liquor stores were closed. hahaha Years later I met up with an old friend of Scott Foss’s named Ray, he was a certified brewmaster, and he agreed to put together some batch’s for me. So we finally had a quality Hefenweiser that we called “Wildman Wheat” and a Brown Ale we created called “Backyard Brown”. I have something in the works, so hopefully we will see some beer in production soon.

Unfortunately we are not set up to ship Internationally yet, but we are looking into it..

We started making homebrew with kits back in 1984, originally it was just bad home brew, but in 1989 I drew up a logo and printed shirts, a few years later it became an underground apparel line.
